Sitting around thinking about the hundreds of voices, faces and names that have cemented the current path of the 22 commercial FM radio stations, one AM and four minimum coverage should be implemented in the province of Arauco is immersed in a world of joys and sorrows, successes and forgetting.
The world of communications, especially radio, is littered with dreamers. Dreamers are those who sleep thinking that tomorrow must wake up to, from the microphone, or controls the sound room, give your audience what they like in music, information and entertainment programs that, often, lack of sponsors. In that world, I have known for 32 years to do communications, many people. In any've forgotten their names but sometimes a bit hard for me to remember (I've never been good at that), but their activities and accomplishments.
So my memories jumped like a rabbit from its cage when I read the post Lanalhue News Héctor Muñoz Flores, who told us of his father, mentioned in the evocations of Millaray radio. Millaray radio, brought by the owner Luis Gerardo Rivas Leal, from Los Angeles, where I have understood that performing his work in radio remote controlled O'Higgins, work he shared with his driver activity hence its name "Corporito" and that his whereabouts would be near Corporation radio. Tito and Juan Gutierrez, a radio station were the drivers in 1972, not very happy season for the radio and that funding was difficult and limited staff, so both made occasional appearances as announcers. Juan read notices and Tito was the first to work "American" moving the microphone "Aiwa" to the control room, where he hung very handmade and from there to the programs. The radio was on the corner of Villagrán Covadonga where the family lived also the owner and Luis was his eldest son (now Director of the broadcaster) to whom we corresponded, often bring in arms (especially Tito).
